Just a few days away from #NTXGivingDay and Sylvia* wants to share her story to inspire others.
“I’ve lived a very difficult life, but my daughters are what gives me strength. I was trafficked and abused in two states and there was not a day that went by that I didn’t think about ending my life. I needed help, but I didn’t know anyone and I didn’t have any resources. I was living in Florida when one day something told me to pack up my things and get on a bus to Texas. We got on a bus and we were terrified; we had no idea what we would do or where we would go when we arrived. I called the police and they referred me to Mosaic. When we arrived at Mosaic, I knew we were in good hands and in a safe place.
If I could tell women one thing, it would be this: ‘You can do it. You are not alone. Yes, all women can do it.'”
