Dear Friends of Mosaic,

As I reach my first 100 days as Executive Director, I find myself reflecting not only on these past few months but also on the incredible journey that brought me here. Having spent the past 27 years with Mosaic, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the lives we’ve changed, the partnerships we’ve built, and the unwavering commitment of those who make our mission possible. Stepping into this new role has been both humbling and inspiring.

These first 100 days have been a time of listening, learning, and looking ahead. While I have known Mosaic for many years, serving as Executive Director has given me a new appreciation for the dedication of our Board of Directors, leadership team, staff, donors, volunteers, and community partners who work together to advance our mission.

One of our most significant accomplishments has been bringing together our Board and leadership team to begin developing a new strategic plan for Mosaic. Together, we are identifying priorities that will strengthen our organization, expand our impact, and ensure we remain responsive to the evolving needs of those we serve. This collaborative work is laying the foundation for the future of Mosaic.

I have also had the pleasure of spending time with many of our donors and supporters. Hearing why you believe in our mission and learning about the passion behind your generosity has been one of the greatest highlights of these first 100 days. Your investment in Mosaic is more than financial—it is a vote of confidence in our future, and I am deeply grateful for your partnership.

Like many nonprofit organizations across the country, Mosaic is navigating a challenging funding landscape. We face real uncertainties, and the road ahead will require creativity, collaboration, and careful stewardship of our resources. Yet even in the midst of these challenges, I remain optimistic.

What gives me that optimism is our people.

Every day, I see remarkable resilience in our staff. I see individuals who continue to serve with compassion, professionalism, and determination despite the pressures facing the nonprofit sector. Their commitment to our mission never wavers, and their ability to adapt, innovate, and support one another reminds me why I have been proud to call Mosaic my professional home for the past 27 years.

As we look ahead, I am confident that our greatest strengths remain the same: our dedicated staff, our engaged Board, our loyal donors, and the community that believes in our mission. Together, we will continue to meet challenges with purpose, embrace opportunities for growth, and ensure that Mosaic remains a place of hope, support, and possibility for those we serve.

Thank you for your continued trust, encouragement, and partnership. I am honored to lead this remarkable organization into its next chapter, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.

With sincere gratitude,

Mirjana Omeragic, MSM (she/her/hers)
