What are you doing to support human rights this holiday season?

Yesterday was the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In January, we will observe National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. While days and months pass, we remember that violence does not have a season, nor should human rights.

As the holidays approach, how we give and what we buy can have a big impact. On the left, we have included links to fair trade shops in the North Texas region so you can support human rights and empowerment while you shop for your loved ones.

One of the most widespread human rights abuses in the world continues to be violence against women, but we are encouraged to see that people like you are working to address injustice here in North Texas and around the globe.

On October 12th, Mosaic held the 3rd annual Champion of Human Rights Award Luncheon. This year, we honored Jan Langbein and Paige Flink for their work to end violence against women in North Texas.
