We are so excited to announce this year’s honoree, Judge Roberto Cañas.
Cañas is the presiding judge of Dallas County Criminal Court No. 10, the first Latino to hold that position. His court handles only domestic violence cases. Judge Cañas has extensive experience with the issue of domestic violence both in and outside of the courtroom and has worked to improve the legal system’s response to domestic violence.
