On October 29, more than 150 volunteers from FedEx joined us at Mosaic House to beautify our outdoor space, build garden beds, tear down an old garden shed, organize donations, build a playhouse, and much more. Each fall, FedEx team members participate in FedEx Cares Week, a week-long volunteer event that benefits local communities and the United Way. Throughout the week, communities across the country host days of service, allowing more than 3,400 FedEx team members to volunteer their time. FedEx generously provided Mosaic with a $5,000 grant to support the day’s projects.
Our special thanks to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas for helping organize the day, and to the FedEx team for all their hard work making Mosaic House a more welcoming home. We are also grateful to Waste Management for donating waste removal services for the event. Partnerships like these make it possible for Mosaic House to provide a welcoming home to hundreds of survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking each year, and we are so proud to be part of a community that gives back.
