Welcome!
I am Tori Hobbs, Executive Director. It is a delight and an honor to be serving with a passionate and committed staff who are so dedicated to our community.
I have a lifetime of community service and over 25 years of professional experience in fundraising, nonprofit management and marketing. Over my professional career I have served in senior development leadership roles at three different United Ways, including United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and spent several years at the University of New Mexico raising funds for the business school where I graduated – Go LOBOS! I was the Chief Marketing & Development Officer at Prism Health North Texas, formerly AIDS Arms from 2011 to 2019 and most recently was the CEO at Heart House – a specialized afterschool program for refugee and immigrant school-aged children.
I am lifelong community volunteer and fundraiser. My first fundraising experience was selling the most Girl Scout cookies and first leadership experience was 8th grade class president. As a PTA President, I raised the most money of any PTA in New Mexico at the time. At Heart House through my leadership, fundraising, and the generous Dallas community I took the organization from a significant deficit on the verge of closure in early 2020, to debt-free and 6 months of cash-on-hand in just over a year.
As the Executive Director my role is to lead and execute the strategic plan and ensure staff have the support necessary to help solve community issues such as trafficking, domestic violence, and immigration.
Cruising is my favorite way to completely disconnect from work responsibilities. I enjoy crafts of any kind and my specialty is creating hand-stamped greeting cards.
