Last week an amazing group of Social Work students from Texas Woman’s University hosted a luau themed Spa Day for the women of the Mosaic House. As a special treat to the ladies, this group brought in two hairstylists and one makeup artists to provide makeovers for each woman of Mosaic House. This activity left our clients feeling beautiful, rejuvenated, and empowered. For the kids, the group set up a mini-carnival that including a bounce house, face painting, and field-day games. The kids loved playing in the sunshine, winning prizes, and getting to spend time with all of the volunteers. TWU ended the day by providing everyone lunch as well gifts for all of the residents of Mosaic House. To fund this awesome project, TWU held a series of fundraisers on behalf of Mosaic Services. Thank you TWU for not only putting on this special event at Mosaic House, but for educating and inspiring your students to support survivors of human rights abuses!
