SUMMARY:2020 Stand with Survivors Celebration
DESCRIPTION:It is with great sadness we have to announce that our Stand with Survivors Celebration that was set to take place on April 16 is cancelled.\n  \nWhat does the cancellation of our major event mean? \nOur Stand with Survivor Celebration is vital for the sustainability of this agency. The cancellation of this event is a huge blow to us. Every year\, we look forward to reconnecting with our community through these events as well as raising critical funds to help sustain our programs.  While we are exploring alternative avenues to raise needed funds amid unprecedented uncertainty due to COVID-19\, we are calling on our supporters and donors to contribute any amount you can. \n  \nHow can you help us during this crisis? \nOur clients are relying on us now more than ever before. Mosaic Family Services is providing rent assistance\, utilities\, groceries\, and medical assistance for clients that have lost their jobs due to the pandemic. \nIsolation and stress can play a key role in triggering violence in the home. Common abusive situations could include abusers withholding necessary items such as hand sanitizers\, food\, and other basic necessities from the victim. Abusers may also prevent the victim from seeking medical attention for themselves or their children. Undoubtedly the pandemic will cause a spike in domestic violence and our services will be crucial and strained. \nYour donation today will allow us to support the increasing number of women\, men and children who depend on Mosaic Family Services to meet their basic needs and to stay safe. \nNow more than ever\, community is essential. Today\, your contribution will help us save lives. \nDonate Now\n  \n  \n  \n  \n\nThank you to our Sponsors\nGold Sponsors\nWPW Consulting & Whitney Warren\, Attorney at Law \nSilver Sponsors\nGreenberg Traurig\, LLP \nBronze Sponsors\nBank of Texas \nBobby and Shannon Mukundan \nCarolyn and Aaron Mulvey \nLocke Lord LLP \nNelson and Ana Alexander \nPayneMitchell Law Group \nSharon & Sledge Killion \nThe DeCardenas Family \n  \n\n  \nSpecial Thanks to\nDJ LC \nKhanak Dance Troupe \nThe Rao Factor

DESCRIPTION:We hope you will join us for the 8th Annual Champion of Human Rights Gala on Friday\, October 6\, 2017 from 7 p.m.– 12 a.m. at sixty five hundred on Cedar Springs. All Sponsors and Patron ticket buyers will also receive invitations to the Patron Party hosted by Neiman Marcus on September 28\, 2017.  \nThe Mosaic Family Services Annual Gala is a celebration of the work we’ve accomplished and the people who make that work possible. It’s a chance to gather with our friends and celebrate the resiliency of survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. \nChaired by Ashley Anderson Smith and Nusia Sookarow\, with Honorary Chair Susan Posnick\, the event will be a “night in Monte Carlo” themed gala\, including cocktails\, dinner by cncatering\, silent auction\, raffle\, casino\, and more. \nThis year\, we will be honoring Brittany Merrill Underwood\, Founder and CEO of Akola\, as the recipient of the 2017 Champion of Human Rights Award. \nThe Champion of Human Rights Award is presented each year to individuals and/or groups who strive to ensure the protection of the basic human rights and fundamental freedoms to which all human beings are entitled. The award is presented to Ms. Underwood for her inspirational work empowering women in disadvantaged communities throughout the globe. Akola trains and employs women in poverty\, including survivors of trafficking here in Dallas\, so they can support themselves and meet the needs of their families. \n  \nTickets are $150 each; sponsorships begin at $500. Please click on this link to view details on all sponsorship levels.
